Friends of Green Lawn

The Green Lawn Cemetery Foundation, or "Friends of Green Lawn", was founded in 1988 as a volunteer 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to the preservation, beautification, and community benefit of the cemetery.

This mission is accomplished through an annual fundraising campaign and donations which may be used to sponsor specific restoration or beautification projects or to augment the Endowment Care Fund, which provides for the long term care of Green Lawn's grounds. They also sponsor our quarterly Heritage Newsletter and other publications that tell the history of Green Lawn and its families.

Opened in 1849, Green Lawn Cemetery is not only Ohio's second largest cemetery, but a registered arboretum and part of the Scioto River-Greenlawn Important Bird Area. We have been serving Ohioans from all faiths and all walks of life for over 175 years. Our expansive grounds ensure we will continue to serve our growing community for generations to come.
