Veteran Information

Contact Green Lawn to learn
more about eligibility.

To start, Green Lawn wants to thank all veterans and their families, for their service and sacrifice to our county. With past and present veterans service and sacrifice, we live and work in a safe and free, United States of America.

To assure that a Veteran has the privilege of burial in our Military Section it must be verified that he has been honorably discharged from the Branch in which he served. This verification would be noted on the discharge papers (DD214). Also, there may be a Service Certificate that would show the discharge status. With this verification a burial space is provided free of charge.

The Department of Veterans Affairs will provide a bronze memorial. The order form for this memorial is sent to Washington DC for processing and in a time frame of two to three months the memorial is shipped to the cemetery for installation. The placement fee is a cemetery charge to the family. The fee is nominal. This fee includes the concrete base on which the bronze is mounted and also a foundation upon which the memorial is placed. There is also a charge for preparing and closing the grave. Please call Green Lawn for current recommendations and costs.

Over the last several years, Green Lawn has been part of the Wreaths Across America Program here in central Ohio. This program is where Volunteers, Veterans, and the Public, lay a wreath on veteran spaces for the holiday season, in remembrance of  that particular veteran's service to the our country.
